| C-Type Natriuretic Peptide (CNP) belongs to the natriuretic peptide family and functions in an autocrine or paracrine fashion. CNP interacts with the GC-B/NPR-B receptor to promote vasorelaxation, vascular remodeling, and the growth and differentiation of bone and neural tissue. CNP is synthesized as a prohormone that is cleaved intracellularly by furin, yielding a 49aa propeptide and a 53aa mature peptide. Additional cleavage of the mature peptide generates 29aa and 22aa peptides which have comparable activity in some assays. Within the 53aa mature CNP, human shares 96% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat. | | | Catalog # | N0019-05J | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml. The detection limit is ~20ng/well. | | Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml detects human CNP peptides containing aa98-126. Using a colormetric system, the detection limit is ~25ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2b | | Clone No | 8H204 | | Host | Rat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% trehalose.
