| Nephrin (Renal glomenelus specific adhesion receptor) is a kidney glomerular filtration barrier protein that is an essential component of the interpodocyte-spanning slit diaphragm. Nephrin is located only in visceral glomerular epithelial cells, where it is targeted to intercellular junction of mature podocyte foot processes (1). This single pass membrane protein is located in four processes. Mutations in the nephrin gene are | | | associated with congenial nephritic syndrome (NPHS1) (2). | | | | | | Applications: | | | Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | | Catalog # | N2028-50P | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:10,000-1:50,000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Clone No | 9H482 | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Mouse | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 50mM Tris-Glycine, pH 7.4, 0.15M sodium chloride, 0.05% BSA, 0.01% sodium azide, 40% glycerol. | | Purity | Supernatant | | Immunogen | A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding tyrosine 1176 and tyrosine 1193 of mouse Nephrin. | | Specificity | Recognizes Nephrin at ~180/135kD phosphorylated on tyrosines 1176 and 1193.
