Specifications

Catalog #N6000-06A
SourceRecombinant corresponding to 119aa of human Neurotrophin-3 expressed in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain.
Molecular Weight~13.6kD
Biological ActivityThe ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent induction of choline acetyl transferase in rat basal forebrain primary septal culture was found between 20-50nug/ml
Dimers and Aggregates 1% (SDS-PAGE)
Protein ContentProtein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:1. UV spectroscopy at 280nm using the absorbency value of 2.165 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENEcomputer analysis program of protein sequences (IntelliGenetics). 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of NT-3 as a Reference Standard.
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, HSA or BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
