Osteocalcin is single-chain (MW 5800) vitamin K-dependent protein produced by osteoblasts and found in high concentrations in bone.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in RIA, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution ELISA 100-1000ug/ml. Coat plate with Osteocalcin at 5-10ug/ml.
Western Blot: 10ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry: 10-15ug/ml
Note: Assays require 1-2mM CaCl2.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
