| Osteopontin is an extracellular matrix protein with a cell binding domain. It was originally identified as a compo- nent of non-collagenous bone matrix, but subsequently has been demonstrated in a wide variety of tissues and body fluids. It seems involved in several processes including bone mineralization, cell adhesion and migration, chronic inflammatory disease and transformation, and has been implicated in tumorigenesis. Osteopontin is present in normal breast, endothelial cells, macrophages, myoepithelial cells and epithelium of the G.I. tract, gall bladder, pancreas, urinary and reproductive tracts, lung, salivary and sweat glands. This antibody may help characterize osteopontin expression. | | | Catalog # | O8064-06P | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
