Ovalbumin is the main protein found in egg white, making up 60-65% of the total protein. Native chicken ovalbumin
is a globular monomer with a molecular mass of 45kD. It is structurally related to both serpins and lipocalins.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Shows high affinity for OA in its native form. It does not recognize denatured OA.
