Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Affinity Purified IP
Paf1 has been shown to form a complex with Rtf1, Ctr9, Cdc73, and Leo1 in yeast that may mediate the interaction between the elongation factor Spt16/Pob3 (FACT in humans) and RNA polymerase II. This mediation suggests that this complex may have an important role in transcription elongation, thereby suggesting that Paf1, Rtf1, Ctr9, Cdc73 and Leo1 may be elongation factors.
Catalog #P1850-01C
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

PurityPurified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
ImmunogenA synthetic peptide which maps to a region between residues 475 and 525 of human RNA Polymerase Associated Factor using the numbering given in TrEMBL entry Q9NUU9 (GeneID 54623).
SpecificitySpecific for human Paf1 protein. Species Crossreactivity: Human. Reactivity with mouse Paf1 is expected owing to complete identity between this ortholog and human Paf1 at the site to which the epitope maps. Other species have not been tested.
