Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Affinity Purified B IP
Parafibromin, the product of gene HPRT2, acts as a tumor suppressor protein by inhibiting cell proliferation and blocking expression of cyclin D1 when overexpressed. Parafibromin has also been shown to bind with the PAF1 complex / RNA polymerase II which is involved with transcription elongation and the RNA processing pathway.
Catalog #P3106-50C
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

ImmunogenA synthetic peptide which maps to a region between residues 375 and 425 of human Parafibromin using the numbering given in TrEMBL entry Q6P1J9 (GeneID 79577).
SpecificitySpecific for human Parafibromin protein. Reaction with mouse is likely owing to complete identity between this ortholog and human Parafibromin at the site to which the epitope maps. Other species have not been tested.
