PARK 7, also known as DJ-1 is a highly conserved cytoplasmatic protein and acts as a positive regulator of androgen receptor-dependent transcription. The expression of PARK 7 is induced by growth signals, and it is translocated from the cytoplasm to nucleous during S-phase of the cell cycle. PARK 7 also may fuction as redox-sensitive chaperone and as sensor for oxidative stress. Mutations in PARK 7 are associated with the autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson's disease.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
