Four chromosomal loci (PARK2, PARK6, PARK7, and PARK9) associated with autosomal recessive, early onset parkinsonism are known. Positional cloning within the refined PARK7 critical region recently identified mutations in the DJ-1 gene in PARK7-linked families. Mutations in the PARK7DJ-1 gene cause autosomal-recessive Parkinsons disease.
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
