| Poly ADP-Ribose Polymerase (PARP). PARP uses nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (oxidized form) NAD as a substrate to catalyse the transfer of ADP-ribose to a variety of nuclear protein acceptors. Proteolysis of PARP to its stable 85kD fragment is an early marker of programmed cell death (apoptosis) and is mediated by the caspase CPP32 protein. Cleavage occurs between Adp216 and Gly217, a site in PARP conserved across species. | | | Catalog # | P3113-01K | | Epitope | C-terminal | | Applications | Western Blot: (Ab 5-10ug/ml for 2hrs at RT). | | Positive Control | Raji cells | | Cellular Localization | Nuclear | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Bovine | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 10mM PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide. Also available without BSA and azide at 1mg/ml. See P3113-01K1. | | Purity | Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of bovine PARP. | | Specificity | Recognizes PARP. Species Crossreactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat and Bovine. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
