| Multi-drug resistance (MDR) associated p-Glycoprotein (p170) causes resistance to various drugs in a number of cancer patients. It exists in a soluble and membrane associated form. Soluble p- Glycoprotein is detected in extracellular fluids of cancer patients, such as malignant ascites and serum.
