Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified E B IP
Phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of cellular proteins are central steps in transducing
extracellular signals to the cell nucleus. Phosphorylated epitopes may serve as docking sites for
the assembly of protein complexes or may alter the 3-dimensional protein structure thus
modulating enzymatic activity or the ability to undergo protein-protein-interactions.
Modification of proteins on serine residues is mediated by serine/threonine kinases.
Catalog #P4076-20
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunoprecipitation: 1-10ug per 10e6 pervanadate-treated A431 cells
Western Blot: 1ug/ml with HRP/ECL detection. BSA/Tween 20 based blocking buffer. Do not use milk/casein for blocking and dilution!
Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control Included Yes
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Clone TypeMonoclonal
Clone No6D662
FormSupplied as a liquid in PBS containing 0.09% sodium azide, PEG, and sucrose.
PurityPurified from serum-free cell culture supernatant by subsequent thiophilic adsorption and size exclusion chromatography.
ImmunogenPhosphoserine containing peptides.
SpecificitySpecies Crossreactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog
Recognizes a broad range of serine-phosphorylated proteins in crude cell extracts. The antibody has a preference for positively charged amino acids directly next to the phosphoserine.
Please note that phosphoserine detection by monoclonal antibodies is always dependent on the surrounding amino acid sequence.
