Protein phosphorylation provides a signalling system that can be thought of as a kind of protein on/off switch for many cellular signalling pathways. Phosphorylation is observed on serine, threonine, tyrosine and histidine residues. Cellular networks underlying phosphorylation can be very complex and often occurs on multiple distinct sites on a given protein.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT.
Immunoprecipitation: 2ug/mg protein lysate.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:20 for 10 minutes at RT. Boil tissue sections in 10mM citrate, pH 6 for 10 minutes folled by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive ControlHuman breast carcinoma whole cell lysate
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
