The phosphorylation of tyrosine acts as a important signal in the control of cell mitogenesis, differentiation, proliferation, and migration and occurs following the activation of intracellular tyrosine kinases, including the T-cell receptor (TCR), epidermal growth factor (EGF) and many families of receptor and non-receptor protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs), which catalyse the transfer of ATP to a tyrosine residue on specific cell protein targets.

	The binding of P4078-01C to phosphorylated tyrosines can be inhibited by free phosphotyrosine and phenylphosphate, but not by free phosphate, phosphoserine or phosphothreonine.
	The affinity of P4078-01C for phosphotyrosine is 10e-6 to 10e-7 M.
Applications	Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution	ELISA: 100ng/ml
	Western Blot: 2ug/ml

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
