ApplicationsPositive control for anti-phosphotyrosine antibodies. Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: Detects the phosphorylated EGF receptor (170kD) and other tyrosine phosphorylated proteins in 20ug of the preparation. Add an equal volume of Laemmli reducing sample buffer to 5-25ul of lysate a;nd boil for 5 min to reduce the preparation.
Immunoprecipitation Positive Control This preparation may also be used for immunoprecipitation with anti-phosphotyrosine agarose.
Storage and StabilityStore at -20ºC Stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
PurityCellular protein preparation from A431 cells containing phosphorylated proteins, including the EGF receptor.
FormSupplied as a frozen solution in RIPA sample buffer (50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4, 1% NP40, 0.25% sodium deoxycholate, 150mM NaCl, 1mM EGTA, 1mM PMSF, 1ug/ml aprotinin, 1ug/ml leupeptin, 1ug/ml pepstatin, 1mM Na3VO4, 1mM NaF).
