This recombinant human PDGF-BB expressed in yeast is composed of two identical polypeptide chains attached by disulfide bonds. The polypeptide chains have been partially cleaved between Arg-32 and Thr-33 (see US Patent #s 6083910 and 5895755). This cleavage is visible upon reduction of the polypeptide with a reducing agent. This clipping does not affect biological activity.
Catalog #P4258-18A
Biological ActivityThe material is fully active as determined by its mitogenic activity measured by stimulation of 3H-thymidine incorporation into human foreskin fibroblast cells.
