| Human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) have been traditionally characterized using a panel of antibodies to cell surface markers, such as SSEA-3, TRA-1-60, and TRA-1-81; however, none of these traditional markers are entirely specific to hES cells (Laslett et al., 2003). Therefore, there is a continuous quest to not only identify, but also gain a better understanding of new pluripotency markers to better characterize the human embryonic stem cell populations of interest. The novel hPlurES-1 Antibody is a monoclonal antibody that has been shown to identify a 65kD antigen that is expressed on the cell surface of human embryonic stem cells. This antibody recognizes a protein epitope that appears to be expressed within a subset of Oct-4-positive human embryonic stem cell populations, as indicated by double-staining analysis using flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry. | | | Catalog # | P4284 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
