Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Goat Serum E
Prealbumin is the fastest protein in the immunoelectrophoresis pattern of human serum. It consists of four identical polypeptide chains with no carbohydrate The molecular weight is 55000 and the concentration in normal serum ranges from 0.1 to 0.4mg/ml. It can bind thyroxine and retinal and its concentration is reduced in severe liver diseases.
Catalog #P6000-02G
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Double Radial Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul serum, plasma or equivalent
Double Radial Immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony): Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in a 3mm
diameter center well and 2ul serum samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

ImmunogenHuman Prealbumin
SpecificityRecognizes human Prealbumin. In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) against appropriate concentrations of the immunogen, a single characteristic precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin lines obtained against human serum and the purified Prealbumin.
