Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified B IP IH IF
Prohibitin is an evolutionarily conserved protein with homologues found in yeast to man. It is located in the inner membrane of mitochondria. PROHIBITIN APPEARS TO BE A VERY RELIABLE MARKER OF MITOCHONDRIA. Shows antiproliferative activity and has been proposed to play a role in normal cell cycle regulation, replicative senescence, cellular immortalization, and tumor suppression.
Catalog #P9007-51
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunoprecipitation: 2ug/mg protein lysate., (Protein G)
Native and denatured
Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml for 2 hours at RT.
Immunohistochemistry (formalin/paraffin): 2-4ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive ControlMAD109, or PC12 cells, heart
