| Phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein 1 (PEBP1), found in epididymal secretions, sperm plasma membranes and cytosols from a variety of tissues. It is also highly expressed in brain. PEBP1 binds ATP, opioids and phosphatidylethanolamine, with a lower affinity for phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine. It has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and induce differentiation in human keratinocytes.
