Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified E B
Protein C is a vitamin K-dependent serine protease produced in the liver and made up of 2 polypeptide chains. The 62kD proenzyme is activated by thrombin bound to an endothelial surface receptor and the active enzyme cleaves factor Va and VIIIa and thus inhibits blood coagulation. The molecular weight of the active enzyme is 55kD and the normal concentrations in human plasma is approximately 1-3ng/ml because of the very fast turnover, the proenzyme concentration is approximately 3ug/ml.
Catalog #P9102-29A
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionELISA: 1:2000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
HybridomaX63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Female CF1x Balb/c mice.
Culture MediumRPMI 1640 with 10% fetal calf serum.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. HostMouse
SourceHuman
Concentration~1mg/ml
FormSupplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 15mM sodium azide.
Before the addition of glycerol to 40%.
PurityPurified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography from culture supernatant.
ImmunogenProtein C isolated from human plasma.
SpecificityRecognizes human Protein C. Epitope specificity differs from that of clone 6F182. Strong reaction is seen in sandwich ELISA in combination with a biotin labeled antigen against Protein C, or in combination with at polyclonal antibody against human Protein C. In Western Blot after SDS-PAGE reacts with protein C in non-reduced form only.
