| PPP1G1 binds magnesium or manganese ions and is widely expressed, being most abundant in testis, skeletal muscle and heart. PPP1G1 is a member of the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases. PP2C family members are known to be negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. PPP1G1 is responsible for the dephosphorylation of ore-mRNA splicing factors, which is important for the formation of functional spliceosome. Studies of a similar gene in mice suggested a role for this phosphatase in regulating cell cycle progression. | | | Catalog # | P9107-20B | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
