| The product of this gene belongs to the phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit B family. Protein phosphatase 2 is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases, and it is implicated in the negative control of cell growth and division. It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme, which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. The B regulatory subunit might modulate substrate selectivity and catalytic activity. This gene encodes a beta isoform of the regulatory subunit B55 subfamily. Defects in the 5' UTR of this gene may cause a rare form of autosomal dominant spinocerebellar ataxia 12. | | | Catalog # | P9107-34R1 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7 to 8 | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | The epitope recognized maps to a region between residue 260 and the C-terminus (residue 309) of human Protein Phosphatase 2A (PPP2CB, Protein Phosphatase 2, Catalytic Subunit, Beta isoform) using the numbering given in entry NP_004147.1 (GeneID 5516).
