| PTEN (also named as MMAC1/TEP1) is a tumor suppressor gene. It encodes a phosphatase and tensin homolog in chromosome10q23 region. This protein is a dual-specificity protein phosphatase and highly conserved in different species with only a single aa difference between human and mouse. Mutations of pTEN have been associated with various tumors such as gliomas, prostate cancer, breast cancer, etc. Multiple phosphorylation sites at the C-terminus of pTEN are involved in pTEN protein stability and function. | | | Catalog # | P9182-02Q | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot.
