Polyclonal Rabbit Serum B
PTK7 is a 1070aa protein belonging to the Tyr protein kinase family and consisting of 7 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and one catalytically inactive tyrosine kinase domain. It is a receptor protein that transduces extracellular signals across the cell membrane. It may function as a cell adhesion molecule that acts as a regulator of planar cell polarity as well as a marker or may be involved in tumor progression. It is expressed highly in lung, liver, pancreas, kidney, placenta and melanocytes and weakly in thyroid gland, ovary, brain, heart, skeletal muscle and erythroleukemia cells.
