Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Serum B
The rad6 protein catalyzes the monoubiquitination of H2B. Rad6-directed H2B ubiquitination defines regions of active chromatin. The RAD6 pathway is also central to post-replicative DNA repair in eukaryotic cells.
Catalog #R0444-50C
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

PuritySerum
ImmunogenA synthetic peptide which maps to a region between residues 10 and 50 of human ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2A using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry P49459 (GeneID 7319).
SpecificitySpecific for human Rad6 protein. Other species not tested. Reactivity with human UBE2B and the Rad6 orthologs of mouse and Xenopus is expected based upon sequence identity between these orthologs and human Rad6 at the site to which the epitope maps.
Important NoteThis product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.
