| Catalog # | R1076-04A | | RANK Ligand occurs in 3 forms | cell-bound RANKL, which is expressed by osteoblast lineage cells, soluble RANKL, which is expressed by activated T lymphocytes, and a truncated ectodomain form derived from the cell-bound RANK Ligand, which is enzymatically processed by TACE. All three forms stimulate their specific receptor, RANK, which is located on osteoclastic and dendritic cells. RANK Ligand is critically involved in osnteoclastic function, and in the regulation of specific immunity. | | Biological Activity | Measured by its ability to induce osteoclast formation on murine RAW264.7 cells using a concentration of 5.0-10.0ng/ml. | | AA Sequence | PAMMEGSWLD VAQRGKPEAQ PFAHLTINAA SIPSGSHKVT LSSWYHDRGW AKISNMTLSN GKLRVNQDGF YYLYANICFR HHETSGSVPT DYLQLMVYVV KTSIKIPSSH NLMKGGSTKN WSGNSEFHFY SINVGGFFKL RAGEEISIQV SNPSLLDPDQ DATYFGAFKV QDID | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
