Specifications

Rantes, also known as CCL5, is the protein classified as a chemotactic cytokine or chemokine. This protein is a chemotactic for blood monocytes, memory T helper cells, eosinophils and basophils, and plays an active role in recruiting leukocytes into inflammatory sites. Rantes also induces the proliferation and activation of certain natural-killer (NK) cells to form CHAK (CC-Chemokine-activated killer) cells. It is also an HIV-suppressive factor released from CD8+ T cells. Recombinant RANTES protein , expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
