Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the most significant respiratory pathogen of early development and causes about half of all cases of bronchiolitis and a quarter of all cases of pneumonia during the first few months of life. There are multiple types and subtypes of RSV. VP-R151 is a mixture of four antibodies to optimize sensitivity and detection of the various RSV forms.

Applications	Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions	Immunofluorescence: 1:10
	Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:400 for 1 hr at RT Requires antigen retrieval.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
	Indirect immunofluorescence: Acetone-fixed HeLa cells infected with RSV-A2. Staining pattern RSV-infected epithelial cell membranes and cytoplasm.
	Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded RSV infected lung.
Storage and Stability	Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
