| RGS14 inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits thereby driving them into their inactive GDP bound form. It contains 1 GoLoco domain, 2 Ras binding (RBD) domains, and 1 RGS domain. | | | Catalog # | R1996-28C | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:16,000 | | Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml. Detects a band of approximately 65-70 kD (predicted MW: 65kD) | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Cellular Localization | Cell Membrane (probable) | | Positive Control | Jurkat whole cell lysates. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in TBS, pH 7.3 containing, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Synthetic peptide (IGGSLNSTTDSAL) corresponing to residues 335-346 at the C-terminus of human RGS14, according to NP_006471 | | Specificity | Recognizes human RGS14. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
