Applications
Suitable for use in Blood Group Typing, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Direct Agglutination Tests: Slide test, tube test and microplate test. Immunohistochemistry: Analysis of Rh antigens. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
Lymphoblastoid cell line with stable anti-C production with murine myeloma X63-Ag8-653.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Peripheral blood lymphocytes from hyperimmune anti-C donor transformed by Epstein-Barr virus
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 0.3M sodium chloride, 1.25mM EDTA, 0.09% sodium azide
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography
Specificity
Recognizes human Rho(C) antigen of the Rhesus system of blood typing. Anti-RhoC variants reactivity: R1R2, R1RZ, R1wR1w, R1wr, rwr, Cw, R1wR1x, Cx, rsr. Does not crossreact with other Rhesus antigens. The immunogen (RhoC) bears no relationship to the RhoC-GTPase which is an oncogenic protein.
