| Ristocetin A is a potent antibacterial glycopeptide antibiotic but was withdrawn for clinical use following a high incidence of thrombocytopenia. Further investigation found that ristocetin A induced platelet aggregation by binding to a factor absent in people suffering from von Willebrand's disease and lead to the use of ristocetin A as an important diagnostic aid. | | | Catalog # | R2032-22 | | Solubility | Soluble in water, methanol and DMSO | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at RT for short-term only.
