Rotavrus A is the most common causative viral agent of severe gastroenteritis among the young worldwide, resulting from the production of a powerful diarrhoea-inducing enterotoxin, within the small intestine.The serotypes of rotavirus A are determined by two gene products protease-sensitive protein VP4 and glycoprotein VP7, which act as antigens on the surface of the virus, and are used to classify group A rotavirus as either P type or G type, respectively.
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionELISA: Can be used as both a capture and conjugated detection antibody in direct sandwich ELISA.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
