| SIGN-R1 is a C-type lectin that has been identified as a murine homologue of the human DC-SIGN related molecule, L-SIGN. Mouse SIGN-R1 is specifically expressed on marginal zone macrophages in the spleen, medullary and subcapsular sinus macrophages in the lymph nodes, and at lower levels on liver sinusoidal endothelial cells. SIGN-R1 has not been detected on murine dendritic cell populations. Like many C-type lectins, SIGN-R1 functions as a pathogen recognition receptor in vivo and plays an important role in defence against pathogens. | | | Catalog # | S1013-69F | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry.
