| Recovery and cultivation of dermatophytes and other fungi from clinical material. Soy Peptone Yeast Extract Agar is a modification of Sabouraud Medium and was formulated by Carmichael and Claus 1,2 to selectively isolate Trichophyton verrucosum, a fungus associated with ringworm infections.
