Spermine, a polyamine, is a positively charged compound found in living cells and can cause conformational changes in DNA via charge and solubility mechanisms which can affect gene expression cell differentiation. Spermine may be linked to the development of cancer.

Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionELISA: 1:2000-1:5000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:500- 1:1000
Western Blot: 1:1000- 1:2000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
SpecificityUsing a conjugate Spermine- Glutaric Anhydride-Protein, antibody specificity was performed by competition ELISA with the following compounds:

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
