Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 5a (STAT5a) is a member of the STAT family of proteins that mediate cytokine signaling by acting as signal transducers in the cytoplasm and transcription activators in the nucleus. STAT5a and STAT5b are encoded by separate genes and share 93% amino acid identity.

Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, PBS. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
