| Antibody reacts with superoxide dismutase from bovine erythrocytes showing a 33kD band against this metallo-enzyme (Cu2+-Zn2+). The enzyme catalyzes the destruction of O2- and protects against harmful free radical effects. SOD is found in the CSF of patients with brain tumors although not readily detected in normal brain. Suitable for most immunological assays, including SOD quantitation in RBCs. | | | Catalog # | S8060-16H | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry (Fr) and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. | | Storage and Stability | Store at 2-8°C. Do Not Freeze! Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Bovine | | Concentration | As reported | | Form | 0.02M K Phosphate, 0.15M NaCl, gentamycin sulfate, pH7.2.
