Synaptophysin has proven to be a sensitive neuroendocrine marker, useful for the identification and characterization of neuroendocrine tumors. The antibody decorates synaptic structures in the central and peripheral nervous system and can be used for neurobiological and neuropathological studies.

Applications	Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions	Immunohistochemistry (Frozen, paraffin): 1:50-1:100. Does not require proteolytic treatment.
	Note: Dilute in 0.15M PBS, 1% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
