| Synip (Syntaxin 4-Interacting protein) specifically binds to Syntaxin 4 and is uniquely expressed in muscle and adipose tissue. The binding interaction of Synip with syntaxin 4 is regulated by insulin, which also induces dissociation of the Synip-syntaxin 4 complex. Synip plays a role in the translocation of transport vesicles from the cytoplasm to the plasma membrane and functions as a positive regulator of insulin-stimulated GLUT4 translocation. Synip also competes with VAMP2 but Not SNAP23 for binding to Syntaxin 4 (1-3). | | | Catalog # | S9115-25 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Western Blot: 1:5,000-20,000 (70kD) | | Immunohistochemistry: 1:250-500 | | Flow Cytometry: 1:40 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Clone No | 6k389 | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as a liquid. | | Purity | Supernatant | | Immunogen | A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the C-terminus of the PDZ domain of human Synip. | | Specificity | Recognizes human Synip. Predicted to detect the isoform 2 base on sequence analysis. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
