| Syntaxin is membrane integrated Q-SNARE protein participating in exocytosis. Syntaxin is composed of an N-terminal regulatory domain (Habc), a SNARE domain (known as H3), and a single C-terminal transmembrane domain. The SNARE(H3) domain binds to both synaptobrevin and SNAP-25 forming the core SNARE complex. | | | Catalog # | S9200-03 | | Useful to investigators who transplant human neurons or human neural derived cell lines into rodents since the antibody reacts with human but poorly with rat syntaxin. Also useful in double labeling studies due to the fact it is an IgG2a subclass monoclonal. | | Immunohistochemistry | 1:10 Formalin fixed (fixed <4 weeks) | | Immunoblotting: 1:10 | | ELISA: 1:10 | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2a | | Clone No | 2Q100 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | As reported | | Form | Liquid | | Purity | Ascites | | Immunogen | Crude synaptic immunoprecipitate (human). | | Specificity | Syntaxin (34–36kD). Reacts with syntaxin expressed in bacterial systems. Species Reactivity: Human, pig, hamster and rat (poor). | | | Important Note | This product is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications. |
