Alpha-synuclein is a protein of 140 amino acids and a member of the synuclein family. It may be implicated in the formation of Lewy bodies and the selective degeneration of neurons in sporadic Parkinsonís disease and Lewy body dementia.

Recommended DilutionsImmunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:800 for 20-30 min. No special pretreatment is required.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
