a-Synuclein is a protein of 140-amino acids expressed abundantly in the brain. a-synuclein is also the main component of pathogenic Lewy bodies and Lewy neurites. Mutations of the a-synuclein gene have been linked to Parkinson disease.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochmistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:200 Requires citrite HIER. Immunofluorescence (IF-F): 1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Synthetic peptide surrounding Glu105 of mouse a-synuclein protein.

Supplied as a liquid in 10mM sodium HEPES pH 7.5, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.1mg/ml BSA, <0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol.
