Synaptophysin is found in neuronal presynaptic vesicles in brain, spinal cord, retina and similar vesicles of the adrenal medulla, and in neuromuscular junctions. It seems to play a role in synaptic vesicle formation and exocytosis. This antibody will help identify synapto- physin in normal and uncharacterized tissues.

Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1:500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:200 for 1 hr. at RT

Immunohistochemistry: Thyroid. Cytoplasmic staining pattern.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
