| Tau proteins are microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs). Alternate splicing of tau mRNA and differential phosphorylation contributes to the heterogeneity of tau. This antibody reacts with the non-phosphorylated as well as the phosphorylated forms of tau and its epitope maps in the middle of tau. It intensely stains the human neurofibrillary tangles, neuropil threads, and neuritic plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease. It shows no cross reaction with other MAPs or tubulin. | | | Catalog # | T1033-03 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence.
