Rabbit anti-TGN38 recognizes a cycloprotein designated TGN38 that is found primarily in the Trans-golgi network, and has been found to be an excellent marker for this cellular organelle. TGN38 is likely to have a role in intracellular transport. It is the homologue of human TGN46.

Recommended DilutionOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

ImmunogenAntisera to TGN38 were raised by repeated immunizations of rabbits with highly purified antigen (recombinant fusion protein corresponding to extracellular domain of TGN38). Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
SpecificityThis antibody is specific for TGN38. TGN38 is heavily glycosylated protein of around 80-90kDa. Species Crossreactivity: This antibody reacts with the mouse and rat protein. Antibody reactivity and working conditions may vary between species. Other species have not yet been tested.
