Thioredoxin catalyzes disulfide exchange in proteins via an oxidation/reduction reaction mechanism and is used for apoptosis inhibition in human PBL blasts and Jurkat T-cells. Thioredoxin also functions as a catalyst for filamentous phage assembly and as an accessory protein for phage T7 DNA Polymerase.

Applications	Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution	Western Blot: Reacts with recombinant Thioredoxin from E. coli cell lysates at ~11.7kD.

	Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. HRP conjugates are sensitive to light.
