Connectin/titin is an ~ megadalton (MD) elastic filamentous protein of striated muscle sarcomeres. One connectin molecule spans from the Z line to the M line on the myosin filament in a half sarcomere, thus forming the third filament in addition to the myosin and actin filaments in a sarcomere. Connectin filaments position the myosin filaments at the center of a sarcomere as a spring and are responsible for passive tension generation when sarcomeres are stretched.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
