| Human Toll-Like receptor 2 (TLR2) is a 97kD, 766aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the Toll-like receptor family (TLR) of pattern recognition receptors. TLR2 is expressed on most leukocytes, endothelial cells and hepatocytes. It forms heterodimers with TLR1, TLR6, or in humans, TLR10, and recognizes lipoproteins and glycolipids from bacteria, mycoplasma, and yeast. Ligand recognition by TLR2 stimulates production of pro-inflammatory cytokines including TNF-a, IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, and MIP-2. The extracellular regions of human and mouse TLR2 share 67% aa identity. | | | Catalog # | T8050-10B | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
